Years ago I stopped working as a Silicon Valley corporate employee and went into full-time real estate investing (without becoming a real estate agent).
I like maybe you did not grow up learning about real estate investing, in fact I was always told that debt was bad and real estate was risky. So I was working at my high paying corporate job earning a steady six-figures but not really being in control of my own time or my own career path. I was waiting to be recognized so I could get a promotion and a bigger salary bump. My mom got sick around this time and I had a baby at home and two other children in elementary school. Working from home was not an option pre-covid as it is today.
I was fed up enough.
Fed up enough with my corporate job and I wanted to create something meaningful in this life.
I started investing in real estate by buying a rental home in Austin off of the MLS and putting a renter in for a year long Lease. The rental was running pretty smoothly but I wanted to scale! I wanted to build an empire not for the yachts or the cars and private jets but rather to build a legacy for my children, to retire my husband early, to help others in financial need. So, I started doing a deep dive, countless hours of research into all the possibilities in real estate investing.
Within three months I was flipping my first project. It was a hoarders house with so many things wrong with it but I ended up profiting $70k from it. Then more flipping, Short-term rentals (AirBNB and VRBO) and then commercial real estate. In four years I have amassed several million dollars in real estate and over 1,800 units. I also have made over $75,000 in a month 🤯
